Like most good stories, this one didn't begin with a business plan.
It began with an ordinary moment.
I was getting dressed in one of my favorite flannels, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't button the top.
So I grabbed the next size up.
It fit, but it didn't feel like me. The shape I loved was gone, and with it went a little piece of the confidence I felt every time I looked in the mirror.
Bryan, my husband, watched the whole thing unfold.
"You're thinking something…" he said.
"There have to be other women dealing with this too."
I paused and grinned.
"I'm going to start a clothing brand."
His grin matched mine.
"Do it."
That moment sparked an idea that would become Big Titty Committee.
Most people think that's where this story starts.
It isn't.
The brand may have been born that day, but the reason behind it had been quietly taking shape for years.
For a long time, I believed confidence was strictly bold.
I thought it belonged to the loud people. The fearless people. Those who never questioned whether they belonged in the room.
I admired them. I just never believed I was one of them.
Then life happened.
Stretch marks. Cellulite. Nurturing babies. Balancing the intersection of work and home.
My body no longer looked the way it once had.
Something inside me shifted.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I'd spent years measuring confidence by misguided standards.
Confidence isn't one body.
It isn't one personality.
It isn't one size.
It isn't only the flashiest in the group.
Sometimes confidence is wordlessly walking into a room with your head held high.
Sometimes it's wearing the shirt you've always wanted to wear.
Sometimes it's filling the room with laughter.
Sometimes it's simply showing up on the days you'd rather disappear.
I've also learned that confidence doesn't vanish. It gets buried.
Beneath comparison. Beneath expectations. Beneath seasons of life that change us in ways we never expected.
The confidence we're searching for isn't gone.
It already exists in each of us. Sometimes it just needs to be remembered.
I'm still uncovering my own. I don't think that journey ever really ends.
And maybe that's exactly the point.
BTC was never created because I had everything figured out.
It was created because I knew I couldn't be the only one still finding my way back to myself.
This brand was never meant to reinvent anyone.
It exists to remind people of something they already possess.
That confidence has been there all along. Sometimes it just needs a place to re-emerge.
Not just clothing. Not just a logo. Not just a clever name.
It's a reminder. It's an invitation.
To recognize yourself again.
Because you're already Worthy of the Double Take.
Not because of what you're wearing. But because of who you've always been.
The clothing simply gives that confidence another way to speak.
And whenever you need that reminder…
The porch light is on.
Come as you are.
Welcome to the House of BTC.
